Welcome to the launch of RevoBlog – where you can now “Read Every Word!” As the marketing guru of Revolabs, and a staunch supporter of all things marketing, I am extremely excited about the opportunities and possibilities our blog will create. Recognizing that everyone consumes information differently, this is just one of the many ways you'll be hearing from us about what we're doing and how we can better inform and support your audio and video conferencing needs. You’ll be hearing from everyone in the Revolabs organization – from the CEO down to our Technical Support Specialists and everyone in between.
You can expect to read about:
Technology and Products – what’s new, features/functionality specifics, tips and tricks, case studies, applications and support FAQ’s addressed
Visionary Thought Leadership – trends in audio and A/V in general, how audio plays into conferencing, training and other successful meetings
News & Events – where can you see Revolabs next, what we’re doing at the events we’re at, training opportunities, webcasts, and relative A/V news
And…a little of this, a little of that – we have opinions and ideas about a lot of things and we’ll share those too
If you are a first time or even a returning visitor to our website, “Welcome!” Please take a peek around and let us know what you think, not only about our blog, but about our website – which is also relatively new since its launch in March. We'll be adding more functionality into our blog as well as improving other areas of the site, so bear with us as we work out all our kinks.
We’ve also revamped our social sites. Last month on Facebook we launched our Fall for Revo photo contest. We invited our employees to submit three of their best "Fall" photos and left it up to our community to decide by the number of likes each of them received. I couldn't have been more impressed with the quality of pictures we got from our own employees! The one posted in this blog was taken by Chris Brearley. We've got some serious hobbyists here! Go check them out, and tell us which ones you like best! On our LinkedIn company and group page we've added new product pages and started engaging in more conversations, which will ultimately help you get answers to your questions in a timely and non-invasive way. On our YouTube channel, we've added and aggregated more relevant product and application videos that I definitey invite you to check out - they are extremely helpful, especially with our FLX product line.
While I can attest to the fact that not everyone in our company is engaged withTwitter (many just don't "get it"), I personally love it. What a great way to share and get relevant information on what interests you. And only done in 140 characters or less (bye bye email)! So, if you’re not already connected, I invite you to check us out, and “like,” “follow,” or “join” us! And don't forget to click on the RSS feed on our blog page, as well as our news & events section so you can be alerted to new posts and where you can see us.
I have one last request – probably the most important one. Don’t Be Shy! We want to hear from you, both the good and the bad. We're not perfect, and we don't pretend to be. If there's a problem, we want to fix it. If there's a win, we want to hear about it. We need to know what we’re doing right, so we continue to do so, but we also need to know what we're doing wrong, so we can nip that in the bud!
Thanks! We look forward to hearing from you!
PS - On a more somber note, we would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to those who were affected and are still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. As a Boston-based company, we experienced high winds, fallen trees and knocked down powerlines causing widespread power outtages, but we all came through unscathed. The company lost power and email was down for about a day, but were back up and running Tuesday afternoon, and Wednesday was business as usual! But we know not everyone was so lucky.
