Position Description
The Field Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support for Revolabs customers. Areas of focus include pre-sales, training, solution design support, and post sales support including trouble-shooting hardware and software issues, helping customer with integration and setup of their equipment, evaluating customer concerns and resolving problems to 100% customer satisfaction. The optimal candidate will also support the region in driving product demand creation that will be delivered through Revolabs extensive network of resellers.


 


Candidate Qualifications
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to identify, develop, and manage strategic technical relationships and opportunities within the Revolabs reseller channel and with the consultant arena. 
Candidate will exhibit rigorous strategic thinking around building such relationships, but with clear execution strength and technical skills.  Candidate is an aggressive self-starter, and possesses the organizational skills to leverage resources from the corporate staff as needed.  Candidate will need a strong understanding of the professional A/V, IT, and telephony value chains.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of technical / field sales engineering experience with a focus on managing high level, complex client relationships. An extensive technical background in the professional A/V or IT space is required and background in the Data VAR arena is highly sought after.

Specific Skills & Qualifications:
  • CTS or CTS-D Certifications preferred
  • Experience in the setup and programming Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) for audio and video conferencing applications where Echo Cancelation, Noise Cancelation, Automatic Gain Control, and Telephone Hybrids are used
  • Experience in the Setup and Programming of IP and ISDN HD video conferencing systems
  • Understanding of AV Room Control Systems including serial and IP communications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AV integration practices
  • Ability to read and interpret project Floor Plans and System Flow line drawings
  • Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Strong ability to manage reseller and consultant relationships through interpersonal communications
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem solving and multitasking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% overnight
Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Review project designs and recommend appropriate Revolabs product solutions
  • Help with the setup and programming of both the Revolabs products as well as the Video Conference Codecs and / or DSP’s / auto-mixer’s and Soundboards used in Integrated environments
  • Provide quality technical support service to establish a long-term customer relationships
  • Accurately respond to questions and assist customers with product features, Systems, troubleshooting and hardware/software operations.
  • Acquire end user feedback and product ideas and give feedback on product development.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance, behavior, and conduct
  • Effectively work with peers in a team focused environment
  • Preparing and conducting technical / product presentations and demonstrations
  • Participating in trade shows by representing Revolabs and sharing information on products and services
  • Providing feedback to marketing and product management teams for future product enhancements
  • Sharing ideas and customer needs throughout all phases of product life cycle (plan, design, integrate, manage)
