Unified Communications

Unified Communications initiatives attempt to provide a seamless, consistent experience across multiple devices and services.  The proponents of such initiatives include Cisco, Google, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Logitec/LifeSize Communications, Microsoft, Polycom, and others.  A critical component of Unified Communications efforts is the ability to hear the participants as though they were all in the same room at the same time. The Revolabs product line is comprised of wireless microphones designed to do just that, for all types of communication from the desktop to the boardroom.  It is also an objective to make the transition between devices as transparent as possible.  Thus, the simple-to-use Revolabs Wireless Microphone is the ideal unified audio input device (UAID).

Unified Communications

Boardrooms and conference rooms for video-conferencing are specifically designed for optimal audio and video.  The Revolabs Wireless Microphones add flexibility and real-life mobility to the meeting.  Instead of everyone gathered around the microphones, presenters can move around the conference room naturally, heightening the unified communication experience.  It is that natural feeling when combined with clear voice pickup that increases productivity and creativity during meetings.

Bringing good audio and video to multi-purpose conference rooms and audio-conferencing and the desktop is even more difficult as the AV systems must be flexible and have technological limits, such as bandwidth.  The Revolabs Wireless Microphones are ideal for multi-purpose rooms, as the microphones can be arranged in any configuration without having to deal with the wires on wired microphones.  The Revolabs Fusion System is ‘plug and play’ and can be connected to any phone line or video-conferencing system in minutes.  And real-time communications on the desktop can benefit from any of the Revolabs Wireless Microphones that can be plugged into a personal computer for Skype™ communications, speech recognition, and web conferencing; all of these applications are included under the auspices of unified communications.  The Revolabs HD Single/Dual Channel System, the Solo Single Channel System and the xTag USB Wireless Microphone System can all be used in conjunction with a PC.

Unified communications also encompasses non-real-time communications, such as podcasting and lecture capture.  These same Revolabs Wireless Microphones can also be used for recording through most any recording device, including a PC.  For distance learning and lecture capture applications, a multiple microphone system, such as the HD Dual Channel System, can record not only the professor/teacher, but the class discussion as well.

Revolabs Wireless Microphone Systems help facilitate natural communication between co-workers, partners, vendors, and customers by providing them with the ability to hear every word!
