Lecture Capture at Western Illinois University

I am a professor of educational leadership at Western Illinois University. I am currently using your RevoLabs Solo Single Channel wireless microphone in conjunction with Camtasia and Profcast. I use it to capture audio and video (PowerPoint presentations) so that I can eventually convert them to podcasts. My department teaches in a weekend format and the students must attend on Sat from 8-4 and Sun from 8-1:30. If students miss class they must make up the "seat time". With the podcasts we can have more options.

The reason I like the Solo microphone is because I am free to move around the room and it can capture my voice and any conversations I may have with students. This makes the listening to the podcast more relevant to the students because they can hear both sides of the conversation.
